Magic Wand Tool

to use the magic wand tool you have to hold down the "quick selection tool" (this looks like a paintbrush). once you have found the magic wand tool you click on it and you will then be controlling this tool.


to use this tool you select a block of colour that you would like to change.  `once selected you can then, in the options bar, change the tolerance of your colour to make it more or less precise depending on your preference.

In many rap videos women do not have Identities but are used as eye candy and perceived as objects

They are used in videos to appeal to men. It does not matter if the song is bad but if you have a good video including a lot of girls then the sing will do well in the charts. 

The images used are not just used in hip hip and rap videos but re now started to be used in pop videos. This is as they are trying to appeal to a wider range o people. 

The images are also being included in films, television programmed and advertising to try and make people buy the product.  It is almost like hypnotising you to do something. 

However in music videos these are the only type of women you see.

Stereotypes

In this video "Candy Shop" by 50 cent it shows someone showing off all of their money, fast cars and riches. Also he seems to know a lot of women that he can have his "pick of". There is no other men in the video except from 50 cent and another man with a woman which suggests that he is in control of all of the women. He struts. Into his house which he refers to a "candy shop" meaning he can have his pick of all of the girls and any of he girls he wants.  He is the only man in the video and seems to only sing about the "candy shop" and it's contents, he doesn't sing about anything related to manhood

However in other Rap videos they sing about Manhood and growing up on the streets. For example eminem. in his music videos and song he sings about his childhood and how hard things were for him growing up.

Photoshop Evaluation

My finished Photoshop image looks like a plain ravens wood badge with the word 'RAVENS' written in the middle.  I like it as I found out how to use many different tools in photoshop like the filler tool and the spray paint tool.  I chose the colours black and green as they are the colours of the school and they also go well with my font colour. The main image in the picture was the shield in the background which I changed the colours in the corners to green and black to match the school colours, then I found an image of the words 'RAVENS' with an image of a raven bird inbetween some of the letters.

To make my image better I could of spent less time picking a shield to go in the background as that took me many lessons to chooses then I had very little time to finish the rest of my design. However as I took so long picking the shield I am very happy with it as I took a lot if time to carefully chose it.  I need to practise photoshop a lot more to get better at it. However overall I am happy with my design

Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop has a great tool called the paintbrush tool. You can use the paintbrush tool to add color to your image. The brush tool applies a continuous stream of color and stops applying paint as soon as you stop dragging your mouse. The paintbrush paints a line of any size. When you click on the paintbrush tool it opens a menu which includes the brush tool, the pencil tool and the color replacement tool.
